You can only use the fabric in the purchased packet. You can make as many blocks as you can from the fabric provided. The finished block should measure 12 ½ inches (finished at 12 inches in the quilt)
You can use any technique: pieced, paper pieced, applique. (this year, if you choose to do applique with more that one block, you may exchange some of your “focal” fabric for background)
The blocks are due at the December meeting; they will be displayed for judging by all the members. Depending on how many blocks get turned in, we will award winners the opportunity to choose 12 blocks as their “prize”. Hopefully, we will have enough to at least do a first and second place. All that return blocks will have their name placed in a basket for each block and any blocks remaining will be awarded by random draw from the names in the basket.
